Job Description

Thirty minutes across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, the sleepy little village of San Anselmo is home to many of the Bay Areas most visible movers and shakers. The beautiful pastoral area anchored by Mount Tamalpais to the South, is the gateway from Napa/Sonoma wine country to the California Coast. Great restaurants are few and far between in this area; our client is undoubtedly the most established, most notable and most awarded dining out destination in the area

We have an outstanding Executive Chef position to fill based in beautiful San Anselmo, with an exceptional salary and benefits package. Our client is offering an excellent salary, benefits, work environment, and opportunity for career growth (managing partner potential), are all part of the package to the candidate that’s got the goods. Candidates should possess creativity, the desire to lead in a busy and organized environment, and must speak reasonably good Spanish. We are looking for an established seasoned leader that can step in and step up on Day One!

This wildly popular roadside restaurant features their own unique brand of “Latin Lusciousness” coming out of the kitchen every evening to its well-heeled sophisticated diners. Requirements

The ideal candidate must have the following to be considered:

  • Three or more years good volume distinctive full-service restaurant leadership experience
  • Skilled and experienced in modern Latin cuisine
  • Creative-Creative-Creative!
  • Trained in menu planning and good-volume production
  • Ability to maintain and improve sales and profit goals
  • Complete understanding of cost of goods sold and P&L management
  • Ability to manage labor cost to revenue
  • Track record of achieving financial results
  • Strong kitchen organizational skills
  • Skilled communicator that leads by example
  • Passion for developing and mentoring a kitchen team
  • Strong honesty, integrity and guest advocate philosophy
  • Personal and professional maturity is a key attribute

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Salary package – $90k – $125k

We are searching for a driven and talented Executive Chef with experience in high-quality high-volume Northwest cuisine. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record and passion for maintaining excellent food quality, mentoring and developing others, delivering outstanding guest experiences, as well as achieving superior financial results.

Requirements Ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Five or more years high volume, full-service restaurant leadership experience

Pacific Coast Hospitality has been retained to search for a Restaurant Executive Chef for our client, a high volume, and award-winning seafood concept that is casual, comfortable and affordable with a keen sense of Northwest style serving authentic, high quality and flavor-rich foods from Northwest waters, fields and ranches.

Whenever possible our Executive Chef uses local, regional, organic, free range, wild, and sustainable ingredients including locally farmed produce, Washington and Oregon poultry and beef, wild Northwest seafood, local artisan bread, and local microbrews.

A “Can Do, Guest Driven” service philosophy combined with Management and crew that have complete ownership for their results are the cornerstones of our business. In addition, we are active community members and deeply committed to are large, yet selective group of local charities, organizations and non-profits.

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience managing a high volume, high service level kitchen with specific understanding of restaurant operations and financials.
  • A top line, guest focused mentality is a must!

  • Strong culinary experience needed, high volume “foodie” experience a plus.
