Job Description 

An outstanding opportunity to help lead a regional food program, we are seeking an experienced and talented Resort Sous /Pastry Chef candidate to assist in operating this high volume, fast paced resort program. Family owned and operated since 1901, located on the shores of Lake Chelan, where the east slopes of the Cascade Mountains meet the sun baked Columbia plateau. Offering upscale accommodations, award winning restaurant and the best mid-size conference center in Washington state, this facility’s mission is to provide the best resort experience in the Northwest through genuine hospitality and crisp service.

Long renowned as a family vacation playground, the Lake Chelan area has recently become Washington state’s most exciting new wine country as well. Over sixteen wineries now dot the Lake Chelan valley and as a leader among Washington state hotels, you’ll be heading the food program in the center of it all.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Two years baking experience / four years in a hand’s on, high volume, kitchen environment
  • Ability to create unique locally inspired desserts and pastries
  • Experience in creating or elevating existing pastry program
  • Banquet experience a must – 200 to 300 guests
  • Multiple revenue streams – restaurant, tavern, café and beach bar
  • Experience in a standards-oriented establishment
  • Passion for developing and mentoring a team
  • Proficiency with scheduling, payroll, accounting, progressive discipline, ordering and receiving
  • Experience with developing, implementing, and executing contemporary food standards a must!
  • Strong honesty, integrity and guest-oriented philosophy

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Starting salary range is $50k to $55k depending upon experience

Pacific Coast Hospitality is seeking a dynamic, seasoned Resort Executive Sous Chef to lead the culinary team for our Oregon oceanfront client, in beautiful Cannon Beach, Oregon. Our client’s establishment, whose menu, exterior and interior underwent a significant renovation in 2017 celebrates classic coastal seafood roots, with a menu focused on top quality, local and seasonal ingredients. Craft cocktails, NW beers on tap, and a whiskey bar compliment the beautiful ocean view. Breakfast and lunch are perfect for couples and families alike.

The Executive Sous Chef will play an integral role on the management team, demonstrating the highest standard of culinary excellence and team leadership. The ESC is responsible for culinary activities of the restaurant and catering team, overseeing all activity in the kitchen, training personnel, overseeing product purchasing and managing the culinary budget.  Menu development, team building, trouble shooting, and operational efficiency are critical skillsets. 

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of recent Sous Chef experience is preferred
  • Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable
  • Experience in luxury hotel or fine dining preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)

Job Description 

We’ve been provided a very unique search opportunity for a Resort Park Manager, located just outside beautiful Crater Lake National Park in southern Oregon. We are seeking an experienced Hotel/Resort Park Manager who will assume the responsibility of improving our level of service to enhance our guest’s experience, the profitability of our resort and supporting businesses.

The successful candidate will ensure that all of our service departments are working together to create the best possible experience for each guest, and that the convenience store is maintained at an appropriate seasonal level, properly accounted for and managed.  You will be charged with exploring and developing new programs, events and relationships within the community for increased visibility, guest experience and profitability.

This opportunity requires onsite, resident living, with a three bedroom home and utilities provided (tax free) as part of the compensation package!

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years hotel, RV resort or retail operations management experience including 5 years of supervisory experience required. Experience in providing a high level of guest service a must!
  • Ability to manage a complete business: marketing, sales, operations, budgets, inventory and cost controls. Ability to generate new business, while retaining current guests.
  • Social media management skills and communication consistent with Company mission and message.
  • A working knowledge of mechanical equipment and the ability to accurately report issues to the maintenance staff.
  • A proven track record in guest and employee communication, team building and training.
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of hospitality and POS software, including MS Office required.
  • On a daily basis, survey guests’ needs, check on any mechanical failures and general park upkeep.
