Job Description 

Pacific Coast Hospitality is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for our exciting new client in San Francisco, CA. Our client is changing the game for office lunch catering in the Bay area! With an unparalleled team of local chefs, they are elevating the mealtime experience for offices around the Bay. They make good food from scratch daily. They start with chefs from some of the best restaurants in the Bay area and beyond, add locally-sourced produce and meats of exceptional quality, and a state-of-the-art kitchen overlooking the waterfront in San Francisco’s Dogpatch.

Their cuisine is fresh, forward-thinking and contemporary, embracing dining trends and flavors that reflect the dynamic San Francisco restaurant scene. They bring the same approach to catering that they believe is the bedrock of the success of their restaurants: an uncompromising commitment to food quality followed up with world class service.

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 3 years in leadership (Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Chef, etc.), and 1 plus years in a similar role. (fine catering or fine dining)
  • Formal training in a culinary school a tremendous plus!
  • Exceptional culinary skills including a well-developed palate and knowledge of diverse cuisines.
  • Organized with an acute attention to detail.
  • Possess a management style based on accountability and honesty, interest in teaching and team building, and leading by example.
  • Must be efficient with administrative duties, including computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Must be an adaptable, flexible team player with an outstanding attitude and an understanding of the big picture.

Salary Range & Benefits

  • MONDAY thru FRIDAY DAYS work week!!!
  • Starting salary $60k to $75k depending upon experience
  • Very obtainable quarterly and annual bonus program (approx. 10%-15% of base salary)

Job Description 

We are seeking a talented Restaurant Dining Room Manager candidate who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of this high-volume, upscale yet casual fresh seafood concept located on the waterfront in beautiful San Mateo, California.

We are looking for a leader with strong wine knowledge and demonstrated group sales experience. In addition to the traditional responsibilities of overseeing guest satisfaction and profitability, this position also entails developing new and improved service standards and developing the unit’s group sales strategies and programs.

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership position in an upscale casual dining environment.

  • 2 -3 years General Manager experience in a high-volume, done-right concept
  • Proven ability to lead a staff of 50 plus team members
  • Ambition, but also understand patience is required…first needs to run store to move up
  • Basic understanding of industry financials (building sales, product costs, labor management, etc.)
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Strong guest-oriented philosophy
  • Knowledgeable in Mexican cuisine and Tequila / Mezcal

To deliver a superior dining experience to all guests, the Kitchen Manager contributes to the success of the business through the direction and control of restaurant operations to ensure a positive guest experience and company profitability. The Kitchen Manager’s responsibility is to direct the operation of the restaurant, attain sales, cost controls, and profit objectives, maintain the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety and sanitation by assisting in the direction and supervising of managers and family members.

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2 years high volume BOH management experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to motivate staff to excel in high-volume, time sensitive environment
  • Ability to consistently deliver high quality food
