Job Description

We’re seeking a dynamic, seasoned, beer loving General Manager for an outstanding opportunity to lead one of Oregon’s prominent seaside brewpubs! Set on the spectacular Oregon coast, this Cannon Beach icon is renowned for showcasing its award-winning craft beers with a food menu focused on high quality, local, and seasonal ingredients.

The ideal candidate must be skilled and passionate about great beer, great food, and great service. This is a highly collaborative position, and you will work hand-in-hand with the Chef and the supporting leadership team. Team building and training, leading by example, and the ability to jump in and do the job are what we are looking for. We are a collaborative work environment with a philosophy of work/life balance and honest hands-on leadership. You must have the ability to create a unique fun elevated beer/food/dining experience for our guests. Above all, you are the keeper of our guests’ consistent, delicious, memorable and exceptional experiences, which is instrumental to the brewpubs continued success.

Requirements

The ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Three plus years experience working as restaurant leader
  • Must know and be passionate about Pacific Northwest craft beer and food
  • Strong commitment to guest experience
  • Create an exceptional GUEST experience every time!
  • Brewery or brewpub experience a plus (not required)
  • Passion for developing and mentoring a team
  • Experience in product ordering and team member scheduling
  • Track record of achieving financial results
  • Organized and the ability to use systems to maximize the operation

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Salary Package – $70k – $80k (starting, based on experience level)

Job Description 

Pacific Coast Hospitality is seeking a dynamic, seasoned Resort Executive Sous Chef to lead the culinary team for our Oregon oceanfront client, in beautiful Cannon Beach, Oregon. Our client’s establishment, whose menu, exterior and interior underwent a significant renovation in 2017 celebrates classic coastal seafood roots, with a menu focused on top quality, local and seasonal ingredients. Craft cocktails, NW beers on tap, and a whiskey bar compliment the beautiful ocean view. Breakfast and lunch are perfect for couples and families alike.

The Executive Sous Chef will play an integral role on the management team, demonstrating the highest standard of culinary excellence and team leadership. The ESC is responsible for culinary activities of the restaurant and catering team, overseeing all activity in the kitchen, training personnel, overseeing product purchasing and managing the culinary budget.  Menu development, team building, trouble shooting, and operational efficiency are critical skillsets. 

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of recent Sous Chef experience is preferred
  • Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable
  • Experience in luxury hotel or fine dining preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
  • Strong commitment to guest experience
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Creative, flexible, detail-oriented and excellent at prioritizing
  • Professional, friendly and engaging personality.

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Salary – $55k – $70k (starting, based on experience level)
