We’re looking for a leader that wants to put their imprint on the restaurant and its menu, who can think outside of the box, being both creative and financially grounded. A leader who can inspire and thrives in a team environment, who teaches and puts others first, who enjoys periodically mingling with the guests. A collaborative style is a must!

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2-4 years’ experience working as Lead Line Cook, AKM /KM / Sous / Chef in the upscale, casual dining segment
  • Must be knowledgeable and passionate about current culinary trends, along with farm to fork, locally grown foods
  • Casual, yet corporate experience/background a plus
  • BUSY environment, candidate must have the energy and mental toughness to succeed
  • Passion for developing and mentoring a team
  • Track record of kitchen management and achieving financial results

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Salary – $45k – $55k (starting, based on experience level)

We are seeking a talented Restaurant Sous Chef candidate who will be responsible for managing the daily operation of a high-volume kitchen.  This includes communicating the goals and objectives of the Head Chef, ensuring food quality, consistency and portioning, and will work on the line during the shift to ensure this occurs. Ensures cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and storage areas.  Supervises kitchen Team Members. Conducts physical inventory. Trains new kitchen Team Members. Acts as the Head Chef during that person’s absence

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2-3 years previous experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.

  • Strong knowledge of back of the house operations including foods, beverages, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety.
  • Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of cost and labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills combined with advanced computer and math skills.

Exceptional craft beer, food and lively experiences! Locally owned and operated brewery with unique and popular restaurants is seeking a talented and experienced Restaurant Sous Chef /Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead their casual atmosphere, high volume, full service waterfront alehouse.

Their company goal is to enrich the lives of their guests and their employees. They do this by providing exceptional food and beverages, legendary guest service, sales growth, cost controls and by treating their employees like family. They believe that their employees are their most important resource and their success depends upon creating and retaining a staff capable of delivering an exceptional dining experience to every guest, every time.

As Sous Chef, you are responsible for actively (hands on) performing all the kitchen duties while working with the Chef to oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve superior results. Responsibilities include sales, cost controls, employee training and retention, guest satisfaction, cleanliness & sanitation, all while maintaining a positive and lively work environment.

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in varied kitchen positions.
  • At least 6 months experience as a supervisor, Sous Chef, or Assistant Kitchen Manager.
  • Ability to run a high volume line with uncompromising standards.
  • Ability to follow and uphold systems and controls.
  • Must possess a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card.
  • Must have good communication skills, including: grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and reading abilities.
  • Strong honesty, integrity and guest-oriented philosophy.

  • Starting salary range is $38k to $46k depending upon experience.

The Restaurant Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for contributing to the Company’s mission by providing strong leadership for the crew which results in meeting Guest’s expectations. Areas of responsibility include:

  • Solutions are sought for all problems with a “can do” environment.
  • Technical Work: Strong presence on the hotline in both a technical and managerial aspect
  • Crewmembers are coached, trained, and developed in their job positions.
  • Plate presentations meet company guidelines.
  • Assisting with developing special menus and promotions.
  • Food cost and Labor goals are achieved.
  • All decisions are made with and communicated with a “Guest First” approach.

Requirements Ideal candidate must have the following:

  • 3-4 years high volume cooking experience
  • Strong technical ability in all areas of the kitchen including prep, pantry, broiler, sauté, fry
  • Positive and enthusiastic team player that leads by example
  • Introductory management experience including but not exclusive to closing and opening of the restaurant, ordering, and quality control
  • Quick and eager to learn new skills, and a desire to progress in title and responsibility
  • Good communication skills, ability to communicate goals to crew members from upper management. Delegate and follow through with tasks in order to achieve results

Salary Range and Benefits

  • Starting salary range is $36,000 – $44,000/yr.
