With 2900 acres of terrain and over 300’ of annual snowfall, this is the largest ski area in Washington and Idaho! We’re seeking an experienced and talented Director of Food and Beverage candidate to operate this high volume, multi-unit resort food and beverage program. Over 8 food and beverage outlets and kitchens spread over the multiple ski areas of the resort. Banquets, concerts, special affairs, corporate events, room service, you name it Schweitzer Mountain Resort delivers at a high level of expertise. If you possess an innate desire to create an experience of a lifetime for your guests, this is the resort for you.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have the following to be considered:

  • College Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related field of study or minimum of ten years of food and beverage management in an upscale setting.
  • Strong experience in winter (snowbound!) environment, detailed in logistics and organization across a wide array of revenue outlets spread across mountainous terrain.
  • Ability and experienced in the daily management of a food and beverage staff consisting of 100+ staff members across 8+ outlets and programs.
  • Experienced in the development and control of the overall Food and Beverage operations (both revenue and expense) for all guests including design and scripting of all concept menus, service enhancements, special events, and remote dining facilities.
  • Proficient communication skills, written and verbal to both subordinates and superiors.
  • Experienced in extreme seasonal business cycles, with startup and teardown several times annually.
  • Proficiency with financial statements, scheduling, payroll, accounting and progressive discipline.
  • Strong honesty, integrity and guest-oriented philosophy.
  • Comes from a culture of collaboration and team building, Respect for all.

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Salary Package $92k – $105k (starting, based on experience level)
