We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager candidate that will be responsible for inspiring, leading, and overseeing the restaurant and team members on an on-going basis. In order to achieve this goal, the General Manager is responsible for ensuring that employees are being developed, working together as a team, behaving professionally, providing great service to our guests and making our product with precision. In addition, the General Manager is responsible for marketing to our guests and achieving their financial targets while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Requirements Ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Minimum 2 years General Manager or Assistant Manager experience.
  • Experienced in food and labor cost management.
  • Positive attitude, friendly and upbeat personality.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including professionalism in dealing with team members, the public and support staff.
  • Good time management, planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively to all levels of employees within the company.
  • Computer skills required (Microsoft Office).
  • Strong honesty, integrity and guest-oriented philosophy.

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Starting salary range is $38k to $42k depending upon experience.

Requirements Ideal candidate must have the following:

  • 2 – 4 years of current high-volume full service General Manager experience.
  • A proven track record in building sales and guest counts. Can speak to specific programs or methodology successfully used in their experience.
  • Successful cost controls associated with running a profitable program. Understands how to manage labor costs through effective scheduling and business level staffing.
  • Experience executing high quality food and a positive dining experience. Can illustrate what they do to ensure food quality, from prep recipe to plate execution.
  • Has a passion for food and guest service. Has hospitality from the heart mindset. Understands and can speak to treating each patron as a Guest in our home.
  • Working knowledge of large scale POS systems. Able to use Microsoft Office Word and Excel platforms to run the business.
  • Working knowledge of alcohol service programs. Cocktails, beer, wine knowledge should be high.
  • Proven experience creating a safe work environment that incorporates team work and professional development for a minimum of 20 Team Members. Understands training at a corporate level, can speak to owning and orchestrating systems thereof.

Salary Range & Benefits

  • $65,000 – $75,000/yr. based on experience

This soon to open multimillion dollar Resort and Casino will feature a 56,000 square foot gaming floor with slot machines and table games, two restaurants, a lounge, a spa, an indoor pool, an indoor/outdoor sauna and an 80 room hotel with 12 luxury suites.

Located in scenic Eastern Washington, this resort is seeking a talented and experienced Resort Restaurant Sous Chef to lead their Asian inspired, full service dining facility. As Sous Chef, you are responsible for overseeing the day to day running of restaurant at both lunch and dinner periods, as well as training the staff in quality control and consistency to adhere to all food items recipes.

Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 6 years in free standing Asian restaurant or high end resort or casino.
  • Formal training in a culinary school.
  • Three years’ experience as Sous Chef in management position.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must possess a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card and have passed Serve Safe exam.
  • Must have good English skills, including: grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and reading abilities.

Topmost responsibilities of this position include motivating and coaching a talented staff to deliver an outstanding experience to our guests while upholding top-notch standards in food and beverage quality in a fast-paced, high-volume atmosphere. Responsibilities also include other management tasks to ensure profitability and sound operations, such as quality staffing, inventory control and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Responsibilities Include:

  • Understands the Profit and Loss Statement and helps create action plans for opportunity areas.
  • Ensures overall food quality and handling, safety, security, service and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Hires, trains, schedules, coaches and counsels, supervises, reviews and terminates as necessary to meet standards of excellence.
  • Ensures that all necessary and industry standard restaurant cost control systems are in place, in practice, spot checked and enforced. This includes, but is not limited to, bottle-for-bottle requisitioning, chit-for-food/chit-for-beverage procedures, shelf-to-sheet inventorying, etc.
  • Meeting and communicating with the guests of the restaurant. We want our guests to feel like they our valued friends!
  • Familiarity with horse racing and its related wagering operations preferred, not required
  • Working with supervisors, company finance, and director to control cost and maximize efficiency.
  • Builds community relations and promotes the growth of the concept within and outside of the four walls.
  • Attends and conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings as required to ensure effective communication.
  • Handles complaints, develops staff, provides budgeting and forecasting, and manages payroll and inventory controls.

Requirements Ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Extensive food, beverage, and bar service knowledge in comparable food and beverage operation.
  • Familiar with sporting events and accompanying promotions.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a sports bar or similar venue.
  • Proven success record in building sales.
  • A 4-year college degree is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Ability to build excellent professional guest relationships while meeting approved budgetary goals in sales and cost controls.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage products, including proper storage techniques.
  • Ability to successfully manage projects to completion and accomplish goals as assigned in a timely basis.
  • Knowledge of the operational and maintenance requirements of all the equipment utilized in the facility to which assigned.
  • Ability to prepare, plan and forecast labor costs and scheduling to meet guest needs.
  • Training, coaching, and leadership skills.
